Object of the Bill
This Bill seeks to amend the Non-Governmental Organisations Registration Statute, 1989 so as to empower the responsible Minister to extend the period within which Non-Government Organisations existing on the date of coming into force of that Statute may be registered, having regard to the fact that the original time limit for their registration expired before the National Board for Non-Governmental Organisations commenced its operations.
