Object of the Bill
The object of this Bill is to establish the National Youth Council to be responsible for organizing the youth of Uganda in a unified body and to engage the youth in activities that are of benefit to them and the nation; to provide for the composition of the Council; to provide for the establishment of Youth Councils and their hierarchy, and the establishment of Committees and of a National Youth Executive Committee; to create a Secretariat for the Council; to provide for the election of youth representatives to represent the youth in the National Resistance Council in accordance with the proclamation in Legal Notice No.1 of 1986; to provide for the finances of the Council and for other matters connected with or incidental to the foregoing.
